And offer our strongest possible recommendation to **work directly with Emerald** rather than through another national chain where they utilize Emerald as a subcontractor. There appears to have been/be a communication disconnect between the national chain and Emerald leading to less than positive reviews for Emerald here on Google and other review sites; very unfortunate for customers and both companies. Based upon our first project experience with Emerald directly, we will have additional, more significant work completed in the future. We found Emerald while visiting the Kitsap Home Show last year. “I just had approximately $6,000 worth of work done by Emerald through Lowe's. I am very happy with the work that emerald has done and the promptness them fixing some of the molding . However the process of getting to the installation was agonizing. There seems to be a huge communication problem there seems to be a huge communication problem between Lowe's and emerald.. I think the problem stems mostly from Lowes. They have fantastic employees. However, they are shift workers. So many of them stayed behind to help us go through the process. Because they do shift work when you go back to Lowe the next time, it is another person. Throughout the process, I was not able to have a face-to-face with the in the people who install my people who install my luxury vinyl and carpet. Lowe's missed charging me significant part of installations. This total approximately $700. Because it is handed over from one person to the next it is not uncommon when you go back to low they will say oh by the way... Even during the installation scheduling I waited for about a week from the time Lowes put in installation order before calling Emerald. Emerald did not receive any insulation order. The same thing is true for installation of my blinds. Luckily I saved the phone number of guys who came out to make the measurements, I called them up to schedule the blinds and installation of flooring and carpet myself. Lowe's lost some of the parts. They were good enough to go to another Lowe's to pick it up so the installation could be done on time. On the day of the installation, even though the installation order has certain area of the house that I paid for but it never went through to Emerald. Between lost and emerald, they were good enough to fix that issue without having to pay more money. but looking back at the installation contract, the square footage they charged me did involve the area they missed . They gave us the wrong color carpet. Luckily he has a carpet that I ordered originally at Lowe's. The carpet guy made an extra trip to pick up the correct carpet and to put back the wrong one. Fortunately I only live less than 2 miles from Lowe's. There were miscommunication between emerald and a subcontractor of the floor and the carpet. Despite calling Emerald multiple times requesting to talk to the installer before the installation, the installer never call me. luckily my house is relatively simple. We hashed out issues on the day of installation. This is the type of stress that is a necessary for a homeowner. Emerald promptly came out to fix the broken moldings. The 3 guys that came to install the luxury vinyl and the carpet guy were great. That worked with my schedule and the various issues. Diana was great helping me out. she even worked on a Saturday to help me out.”
