“It was a very satisfactory experience from start to finish. My salesman, Mark was very helpful but not pushy with the selection of my floor. I was doing an entire house floor replacement, except the bathrooms. One of the biggest selling points for me with Creative is the fact they didn’t require me to remove everything. They told me I didn’t have to move my heavier pieces of furniture or even appliances! They would move them to adjoining rooms as they progressed in the tear out of my old floor and the installation of the new. That was a huge convenience! (No having to empty the refrigerator)! They had a knowledgeable person from both the demo crew and the installation crew come out beforehand to discuss the process, so there were no surprises. I can’t say enough good about the head of the installation crew, Vagner. He explained that the new floor ( a luxury vinyl) was going to sit about 1/4 inch lower than my old engineered wood floor. That meant the 5 1/2 inch baseboards I had would also sit lower, and would mean having to paint above those baseboards in the entire house. We did a cost analysis of that scenario against purchasing a higher profile 6” baseboard and decided it made sense to just replace them. So that was factored in the quote I received. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is the language barrier with both crews. I would have liked for there to have been one person who spoke English. I was in and out and had a few questions I wanted answers to. e.g., “Was there any mold present when you tore out the old floor?” I was also disappointed to see that the moisture barrier they put down was in large squares (sheets of plastic or vinyl?) and that these squares didn’t touch or overlap in places. Since moisture from the slab was my reason for replacing the floors, I wish I had more assurance that everything possible was done to prevent this from happening again. All in all, this company was very pleasant to work with and I feel their quote compared to others I obtained was the best value. I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their flooring.”
