“Aloha, The experience with the team of American Floor and Home aka Carpet One was exceptionally good.  I entered the store and was greeted by the receptionist with a friendly good morning and the nicest sincere smile I have seen in a long while.  After I briefly shared what I was looking for, she called the sales associate Evan Ishihara.  Evan showed up within a minute and after he greeted me he extracted quickly from me what I was looking for... in my case I was looking to cover a small space in our house that lacked carpet and what I was looking for was a carpet remnant, padding of the same size and the hard to get nail strips for cement flooring.  In terms of revenue I am certain I was not an important client to carpet one.  But against all expectations Even treated me as if I was buying out the store, he showed me a few samples to figure out what color and thickness I was looking for, he calculated quickly how much I needed of everything and took me to the warehouse with all the carpet remnants, let me choose what I needed and processed my payment on the spot. He printed out my receipt while the friendly receptionist offered me some complimentary water.  I pulled my car to the loading dock and 5 minutes later had all the items in the back of my car and was on my way.  Compared to businesses like Home Depot or Lowes where most employees look pained when you have a question and most of the time have no idea of the inventory in their store, the carpet one employees looked actually as if they enjoyed what they were doing and wanted to be there trying to make my experience in the store seamless.  Most businesses in town have operated since the end of the pandemic as if the worst thing that can happen to them is you showing up and needing something.  Good customer service is gone (with a few exceptions) and most businesses in Honolulu operate under the motto "we can treat our customers like shit" because we are the only game in town.  Carpet one appears to be one of the exceptions to the rule.  Thank you to the employees and the leadership for choosing a different path than the majority of the other businesses.  With warmest Aloha!  Andres”
