“We are a General Contractor/Designer local husband and wife team who do a lot of custom remodel work on Topsail Island, Surf City, Hampstead, Porters Neck and Middle Sound from modest to very large scale projects. We typically work with Amanda Bland at the Surf City showroom. She is always extremely helpful, responsive with timely communication and provides insight and education on products we may not already be familiar with or use routinely. Amanda's commitment to helping her clients and putting in the WORK, really shines! Being a small buisness who typically work long hours to get our jobs done right, stylish, tasteful and timely for our clients; we truly appreciate that same quilty and work ethic in our vendors and sales reps. As a designer, I love the selection and product lines Watkins carries. It easily allows me to put together elevated yet comfortable designs on more modest budgets that are contempary while remaining true to timeless elements and avoiding overly trendy products that will not hold up for our client's investments. However if you enjoy a pop of trend in your design, the 'on trend' products Watkins carries are extremely tasteful! We have also had Watkins do installs on some of our jobs in lue of installing ourselves and we have been very pleased with the quailty, timliness and professionalism of the install crews. Watkins is our one-stop selected flooring Vendor of choice, and we have used many over the years being in the remodel and building industry, so that speaks for itself. Thanks to Amanda B. for always being invested in your clients regardless if they are repeat clients or a homeowner only looking to replace flooring or remodel their Kitchen or Bathroom tile. I have witness you enough times give top notch attention and service to anyone and everyone walking through the showroom doors and do it in a helpful and not pushy manner. I wish I had more sales reps like Amanda at some of the other vendors we use for products other than flooring. It would make my life much easier, save me time, and make me want to do business with then more. I am so greatful Watkins opened a store in Surf City. It has been a blessing for some who needs broad product selection, at all price points with attentive and timely customer support and service. It has saved me countless hours by not having to shop at 6-10 vendors throughout Wilmington to find the combination of products I need for a project. Instead I can make one stop at Watkins, and almost always find all the products at this one vendor and avoid all the wasted legwork, travel, gas, headaches and TIME. I say this in all Earnest! Before I had to do tons of legwork, shopping multiple vendors over days and weeks to fine the colors, types and price point to find all the materials I wated(or needed) on one job. Now nearly every time, I can find everything I need at Watkins in one-stop without compremising the design, the quality of product or the project budget. That is a WIN for any homeowner, DYI-er or professional Contractor or Designer!!! Please keep up the good work, on-point product lines, great values and selections, and great customer service!! “The site is ok. It doesn’t give you many options to view and price out flooring online. This would give the customer an idea of the general price per square foot flooring costs at this store. It is a disincentive to have to go to the store when you don’t know if they have what you want and need within your budget.”

They were so polite and professional. They installed the whole house on time and cleaned up like they were never even there. I won’t add pics because we’re still moving in and it’s total chaos but everything looks just like I envisioned it. Thanks!”
