We had some logistical challenges with that large bound run, BUT the nice folks at Galaxie Floors worked with us until we were 100% satisfied. We will definitely go back to Galaxie Floors when it's time to update the floor coverings in the lower level of our house.”

“I'm an architect and Galaxie installed luxury sheet vinyl flooring (12-foot-wide rolls) in the basement of my 1920 home. My basement is dry but has lots of nooks and crannies and fixed equipment to install around. I worked with Sandi for samples and scheduling, with Tim for an on-site estimate, and with Sheldon for the installation. All three people did a wonderful job! Sandi was pleasant to work with and got me all the samples I needed - by mail. I did not need to drive to a showroom to borrow samples but could spend time making my selection. I took several bids, and Tim's was the most thorough and professional. Though I did not announce that I'm an architect, he communicated with respect for my capacity to understand and with clear expertise. We discussed best strategies for locating seams for longevity of product and for aesthetic. We also discussed staging the work so I could move heavy equipment from one side of my basement to the other after the midpoint of installation. He was honest about the balance of pros and cons that come with different grades of sheet vinyl and of how much of my very old and uneven concrete slab substrate could reasonably be remedied through the application of a cement-based underlayment. Finally, Sheldon arrived promptly on both days of installation, communicated clearly about the process (including short "break" periods during which the underlayment needed to set), and proceeded to do a gorgeous, tight fitting installation job that exceeded my expectations. Sheldon not only managed to fit the roll product tightly against walls, but he also managed to cut the monolithic sheet around my boiler, water heater, and floor drain without introducing an excess of seams! His left the space organized and clean both after the first phase of installation and after final completion. I couldn't be happier with my floor installation!
