“I’m updating my review after the owner Buddy and project manager Dana stepped up to ensure my flooring project was completed in a way that met my expectations and also made up for the issues that were encountered along the way. Their communication at that point was extremely consistent and informative, and I really appreciated their efforts. My stairs were tricky with a curved wall on one part and an exposed side all the way down. Buddy went so far as to provide a different product for the stairs that was more appropriate (and more expensive) than what I originally picked out in order to do the project right. He even brought someone in to straighten out the half wall so the flooring could be installed properly, all on his own dime. I so appreciate what Buddy and Dana did to make things right with this project. I also love the product they picked out after what I’m guessing was hours of effort to find something that would work and also match the flooring in my lower level. I plan to have the same flooring installed for my upper level and will definitely be using Simply Floors again. I understand that mistakes and missteps happen and the fact that this company owed up to theirs and went so above and beyond to correct everything really blew me away. Thank you Buddy and Dana! Original Post: I used Simply Floors after seeing multiple recommendations about this company on Nextdoor. I specifically went there for the customer service and to support a locally owned business. At this point I have been waiting for over 2 months to have my stairs finished with empty promises of when they will come out to complete my PAID IN FULL job. The entire project has been going since April and all that is left is my stairs, which is apparently an impossible task for this company to handle. I constantly got the runaround from Dana, a project manager, as to when the work would be completed. After being lied to FOUR times over the course of a month and waiting for the work to be done, I finally spoke with the owner, Buddy. He assured me that he met with Dana and Tom (installer) about my job specifically and that my stairs would be completed today. I came home, noticed that the materials that had been in my garage were now mostly gone, yet I go inside and absolutely no progress has been made. Lights were left on and dust all over my previously clean staircase yet they are no more complete than they were yesterday. No phone call, email, nothing. Mind you, I have paid this company $11,000 which includes a change order that had to occur because their original blue print only called for installing half of my stairs (who does that?). I am paid in full for both the labor and the material yet no one will bother finishing the job. I also mentioned to them multiple times that my grandparents (well into their 80s) are staying with us Labor Day weekend and since I have waited over TWO MONTHS for them to complete the job, I will have incomplete and dangerous stairs with no bannisters, wide open gaps, and sharp edges where the nosing is incomplete (which I cut myself on last week, causing my foot to bleed for almost an hour). I apologize for the long winded story, but I feel the need to share this experience with my neighbors lest they find themselves in the same situation. I’m terribly disappointed and don’t know what to do beyond taking legal action at this point.”

“I found Simply Floors after an awful experience at another place (think orange aprons). I was so frustrated at the time but as soon as I met Elizabeth P. I knew they were going to be great to work with. It really was the most simple process so I think the name Simply Floors suits them well! Everything was easy, from scheduling the measurements, getting the quote right away, having the exact floor I wanted, to the install. I work full time so I couldn’t be home during the flooring installation, no problem for them. Moving furniture, no problem. Reusing my trim, also no problem. These were all issues I would’ve had with the orange apron people (not to mention a higher price tag). I can’t wait to use them again!”
