Tom wasn't happy with the first contractor, so they went another direction and made sure to get it right! Super friendly, easy to work with, and meticulous about their work. We are so pleased with our like-new hardwoods and cozy carpet.”

“We had flooring installed by HFS, and unfortunately the flooring wasnt what we were expecting when it was installed. Between a combination of defects in the flooring, and the cleaning method we were using the floor was damaged and needed to be replaced. James was awesome and made it right for us. He worked with thr flooring manufacturer to get it covered under warranty. He went to bat for his customer and didn't cave to the manufacturer. We ended selecting a different type of flooring that fit our needs. James and team installed it for free. The girls in the office were super nice and great to work with during this replacement. This experience is how all companies should treat their customers. This is a great business and we are planning to use them when we finish our basement and put carpet in. Highly recommend.”

“From my initial contact with Angelle in the office to our estimator James and our installers/finishers (big shout out especially to Jesse and David) working with HFS was an absolute pleasure. To be honest, despite the reviews, the cost was so reasonable, and the experience so flawless, that I was worried it might be too good to be true, and kept waiting for a hitch. No hitches. Just great, professional service at a great price! Bonus that they have lots of hardwoods in stock, and given the supply chain challenges, being able to start work quickly was a bonus! I give them absolute highest marks!!”

“Where do I even start? I guess what best sums up our incredible experience with James and the rest of the team at HFS is the fact that we would most definitely HIRE THEM all over AGAIN. It seems like with many renovation projects, at the beginning you choose a company that you think will do the best job and then by the end of the project, there are so many frustrations and disappointments that you often are disenchanted and would not hire them again. NOT THE CASE with these guys. HFS is SUPER reliable, patient, flexible, good at communicating, has an organized team in the office, James paid attention to incredible detail every step of the way, even noticing things I didn’t notice. We had such a small job, less than 6 sq feet of hardwood to be laced in and finished to match our existing floors.HFS didn't balk at the size of our job, got us on the schedule and we are so pleased with the outcome. “Murphy's Law: if it can go wrong, it will, and at the worst possible time. Thus did my garbage disposal die just in advance of a family visit for a week, leaving about 15sf of hardwood floor in front of the sink and dishwasher a true mess. Hardwood Flooring Specialists to the rescue! Their bid was reasonable, and James came almost immediately to assess the situation and send the bid the next day (it being early August, two companies said they couldn't come until October, and one came after two calls and then failed to submit a bid). By the end of the week the old flooring had been removed, with instructions on how I should dry the wet sub-floor. Tuesday of the following week the Installers, the Sanders, and the Finishers had the floor ready for sealing the next afternoon -- and my floor looks good as new. Throughout the entire process I give big gold stars for communication, competence, professionalism, and timeliness. James, Jason, and Arnes and their crews are my new heroes.”
