“Bob Turner was amazing from the minute we walked through the door the first day to even after the installation was complete. He is the definition of excellent customer service - it's hard to find now a days, so when you get it you know it :) We came into the showroom about 15 minutes before they were about to close, thinking we would be turned away. Nope, Bob welcomed us in (didn't roll his eyes at us like the previous carpet company) and acted as though this was his dream - to spend the rest of his evening telling us about carpet. He was with us every step of the way from that point on. Thanks Bob!”

“Hello. Mine is not the usual story here, as I live in Connecticut. I had found a pattern locally at a, "Mom & Pop" flooring center near where I live. They had me sold on a particular flooring that I fell in love with, but once we got going on the order, they found that it was no longer available through their distributor. I was dead set on that flooring. I asked them, if I could find the material, would they install it for me? They told me I wouldn't find it, but they agreed to install it if I found the flooring. I scoured the internet for a seller with that line of products and found Payless Design Center. When I called them, a woman by the name of Sherry, (who I later found out was the owner of the company along with her husband) picked up the phone. She couldn't have been any kinder to me. I was calling from out of state with an odd request to get me flooring for my local installer. After approximately four phone calls between us, she found the flooring I was looking for, orchestrated shipping arrangements, and never missed making a promised call back to me. In Connecticut, everyone runs at a rushed pace. I live in the country of CT and prefer my slower paced existence and the kindness of good neighbors to the hustle-bustle nature of the cities here. Sherry embodied that kind, relaxed and cheerful mindset. She was persistent in her pursuits of my flooring, and an absolute pleasure on the phone....all this to someone from 2000 miles away who she could've easily told, "I'm sorry, I can't help you". I simply don't see this kind of customer service anymore in the age of automated phone answering, rushed responses, and lack of any type of true concern for the customer's happiness. In closing: Sherry and her husband run a business that should give lessons to others on how a successful and professional business is run...but they're too modest for that. They'll just have to settle for being the best and making their customers feel cared for, because that's who they are and what they do. Do NOT hesitate to engage the services of Payless Carpets. You will not be disappointed in any way. Sherry, if you're reading this: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only being a pleasure to deal with, but for being a refreshing breath of fresh air in a business world that sorely needs more people like yourself. “The place was nice when you walk in, I love the color of our floor, although we got a floating Floor plank which looks nice from far away but if you look closely their is huge gaps in between a lot of the planks I noticed about a month after we got them installed the installer came to fix them which was great but not even 6 months later it’s happening all over again the gaps and they seem to be getting worse and worse and I find more and more daily. Looks like me and my husband did a DIY and did it ourself Instead of paying a company to come and do it and it wasn’t cheap. It looks very unprofessional.”
