“Just Around the Corner did a great job with our floor refinishing. Rob in particular went above and beyond. He drove some distance after hours to get our electric back on after sanding, and he found a beautiful way to handle a quirky venting issue typical of an old house. A few weeks out, and the floors are lovely. Overall, I would highly recommend!”

“My wife and I purchased a home near Forest Park almost a year ago now. The restoration/renovation has been a slog. It seems like every company/contractor that we've hired has initially done either less-than-stellar work or bid the job saying they could get it done in X amount of time, when in reality it took them 5x amount of time...and getting them to finish the job was an onerous, headache-filled process. Without hesitation, I can say that this has NOT been the case with JATC. They have been superb and incredibly professional from start to finish. Rob, initially bid the job (approximately 1700 sq ft of refinishing hardwood plus 700 sq ft of new quarter sawn white oak herringbone) and served as the de facto project manager throughout the 3.5-week install process. Unlike the other bids that I had to chase down after several weeks, Rob found a mill in Kentucky that would custom make the new herringbone to match the 90-year old herringbone in the living room and got back to me within 2 days - with a very fair price. From there, the installation (Jacob and Nick) and finishing (Dave, Stan, Ryan, and Todd) process has been seamless. JATC estimated that it would take 3-4 weeks to complete the job. It took them 3 weeks and 3 days. Spot on! The pictures I've posted don't do their work justice, but they've brought the old floors back to life and the new herringbone is absolutely beautiful. “If you’re considering having your wood floors refinished and are hesitant to proceed because the process sounds daunting, Just Around The Corner will make it as painless as possible. We have just had over 2000 sf and 30 stairs of red oak refinished and the transformation is absolutely incredible and well worth any inconvenience. Firstly, our estimator Rob completely convinced me to refinish and not replace our existing hardwood. He was passionate and confident that they could be restored to all their glory. Secondly, I totally appreciated my daily calls from Katrina in the office, updating me on the progress of our project. Thirdly, our three man crew was prompt, friendly, meticulous and invested. Choosing the correct stain was not easy and the guys were very patient and accommodating, ready and willing to try out any concoction I threw at them. The custom color we selected ended up being a suggestion from our crew leader Mark and when we have new floors laid in our additional rooms, I will be requesting Mark, Roy and Zach.
