“My wife and I recently moved to the area and bought and renovated a house. During the renovation, we needed flooring for the 2800sf first floor. We decided on tile but couldn’t find anything we liked at Lowe’s or Home Depot, so our interior designer and my wife made the 90 minute round trip to Austin’s most prominent flooring store. My wife was disappointed with the selection, but brought back a sample she thought might work. It didn’t. We were getting a little frustrated. How difficult could it be to find tile flooring, especially when using a designer? Since we were new to the area, we asked one of our subcontractors if he knew of a good flooring store. He gave us the names of two local companies he had heard good things about. We went to the closest but the selections were limited and we didn’t find anything we liked. We then went to the second store, HC Flooring and More, and found more selections than the Austin store my wife had visited. Kimmy, a co-owner with her husband, is very personable, bright, literally passionate about flooring, and her knowledge seems to be endless. We were at the right store. We weren’t sure about the style and color, but Kimmy asked a few questions and within minutes we had made our tile selection, the color of the grout, and the price was much less than in Austin. We took a sample home to match colors, etc., and quickly realized we had found our tile. Kimmy’s husband Donnie is responsible for installation. I’m a perfectionist but after 73 years I’ve learned to not expect it. I was wrong. The spacing and the color of the grout are essentially perfect. And Donnie’s and the installers attitudes were especially refreshing. Go to as many stores as you want, but make sure to visit HC Flooring and More. I’m almost certain you’ll buy from them and find that nothing I’ve said is an exaggeration. We also bought our carpet for the second floor and the installation was what we had come to expect from them.”
