“I met with 4 different contractors, including Star, to replace carpet laid in the bathrooms by the previous owner with tile. One tried to talk me out of my first choice for tile (and also had to be asked to wear a mask ), another had very competitive pricing and all inclusive services, but again, could not supply my first choice for tile and tried steering me toward ceramic over porcelain. The third was very helpful, but ultimately, exceeded my limited budget altogether. Then there was Star. Josh C. not only assured that he could get me my preferred porcelain tile choice (never wavering from the start), but went to the trouble of dropping off free samples at my doorstep in the actual size! That gesture blew me away. I never once felt pressured by him to "close." He was always responsive to my questions and patiently supplied me with several different estimates as I tried to balance the budget. When game day came, Fernando and John arrived ahead of schedule and did a beautiful job of laying the tile. A number of hiccups occurred along the way, but communication was always open on solving the issues and all tile was laid on schedule as planned. There were a few hiccups as mentioned that had to be addressed (resulting from this being an older home and making accommodations), but the entire team was great about helping resolve them. What especially stood out was that they really mean it when they say they want you to be 100% satisfied. They have the usual payment policy--50% down and remainder on completion. At no time was I ever pressured, or even asked to pay the remainder. They really wanted me to be happy with the results. In fact, when I felt that we had resolved what we could together, I actually initiated final payment--they never even asked. Again, they wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the results. I loved this patient and attentive approach. And I love my bathroom floors! I highly recommend Star Floors for all of the reasons above and hope to work with them again on future projects.”
