“We recently had Simply Floors replace all the wood floors in our house, about 1900 square feet total. The house was built in the mid 90's, the kids and pets are all grown up so it was time. We liked that the company was local, my wife & I are Colorado natives so it means something to us. Our salesperson Kristin was terrific. She visited our house twice and worked with us in the County Line studio and endured our unique blend of lack of vision and stubborn convictions (that's a nice way to say we didn't know what we wanted but we'd know it when we saw it). We chose a nice light colored pre-finished oak hybrid; solid oak on the top but plywood laminate below. It took a couple weeks for the order to be shipped, which was better than we expected after hearing horror stories from friends about supply chain issues. Simply Floors kept us well informed about the process, provided us instructions. A day before the install a dumpster was dropped off and then the next morning, it happened. And boy, did it happen! At about 8AM a crew of workers showed up, led by Braz the team leader. He walked the house with me and we talked through all the little nuances. He was extremely professional and courteous, as was the whole crew. And then the work began. They were tireless and relentless, it was truly amazing. Hammering, removing old floor, installing new. By 5PM they had all the flooring down, save one bedroom where we stacked a bunch of stuff from the other bedrooms. I also had them do our baseboards (highly recommend as it really finishes off the job) and they had most of that done too. The next day, 3 guys came back and knocked out the one room and finished up the baseboards and the other moldings. They were gone before noon. 1900 square feet in less than a day and a half. Truly impressive. And we really, really like the new floor. We expect it to hold up well..the true test will be when the grandkids come over to play. I have no negatives, but I will state a few cautionary tales for anyone else: Simply Floors recommends removing as much stuff from every room as you can. Can't agree more. We moved a bunch of loose furniture and things to the basement and that really allowed the team to really rock. And the other thing they mention is dust. There is no other way to put this but the dust is truly significant. There's sawdust from cutting the wood, that's to be expected. But we were shocked how much dust would be stirred up. I would recommend that every piece of furniture left in any room be covered or expect to heavily vacuum. Plan on dusting every single surface in the house. It's no joke, our house is professionally cleaned every 2 weeks and it's just my wife and I normally and we're very tidy...and the amount of dust was staggering. Plan on multiple passes of the best vacuum cleaner, Swiffer, I even took a leaf blower to a couple spots inside the house! But this is what happens when you do this type of work but like I said, nothing Simply Floors can really do anything to prevent and they do warn you, just take it serious. In summary we are very very please with Simply Floors. Can't recommend them enough!”
