Update: House of Floor has responded and fixed the issue with the transition. I've updated the rating from 2 to 4 stars. First, I would like to say the job I requested was not an easy one. I requested split color engineered hardwood floors in an open area house with my floor having already been leveled by another company. The dining area had one color wood and the living room another. The contractor that worked for House of Floors did a spectacular job. Though his work schedule was slightly odd but that is besides the point here. If I were rating the contractor he'd get 4-5 stars. Where my two star rating comes in is from the company and communication itself. The first estimate was sent god knows where. I followed up after a few weeks and lucky I did. Turns out they didn't write the e-mail address down correctly. After that snafu, I had everything ordered and scheduled without a hitch. When the work was completed, Ryan showed up and did an inspection with me. I only had one item I wanted addressed to which he responded positively and said they'd come out and fill a small gap (that was never addressed). At the end of the walk-through, Ryan stated that they guarantee their work so if something were to happen to give them a call. A few months went by and one of the transition pieces from the walk-in became unglued (there are three). I called first and was promised a follow up. Nothing. I then e-mailed. At one point I was told Ryan was out on vacation and would respond when he returned. Nothing... Subsequent e-mails have been ignored I'm guessing. At first I was patient because of the amount of work the pandemic was bringing on for these types of companies. After multiple e-mails I have surmised that I am just being ignored. Now the work was fine but if anything does go wrong this is where I'd stay away from this company. Your floors and the installation cost thousands of dollars and you want to know if a company truly stands by their work. I've had to hire another company to finish my floors because I do not believe this company will ever stand by their pledge. I hated to write such a negative review because I absolutely loved the contractor's work. It just fell flat with their communication and with such a small issue. Find another source for floor installs.

First to expect is if Ryan states he will call with a time (when he measures your home) to confirm a time on Friday before the week they are scheduled for the work, make sure he lets you know if it is morning or afternoon. I had to call later in the afternoon to confirm (Friday before), because they didn't call me and house of floors stated they call 2 hours before quitting time. The floor was put in 2 days, which was fantastic! My main hold up is since the floor wasn't flat, grinding and sanding was done on the first day. 2nd day the sub contractor was shorted 5 corners from House of floors so the sub contractor had to return to finish the job. Instead of an immediate return since the corners had to be painted, house of floors stated it wouldn't be until 3 days later, due to painting. I was given a 4 hour window that the sub contactor would show up complete the job, since he was working on another jobs. He came first thing in the morning 3 days later and installed the 5 corners. However the corners at the fireplace were not as I expected during the job. They were cut at an angle and not squared, plus the nail holes were not filled. Later I contacted Ryan and he stated this was the way he expected the corners to be cut because of the tiles at the fireplace and offered to make it right according to the way I wanted it. Even though I didn't agree with his opinon on the baseboards around the fireplace, I didn't trust his subcontractor to fix it correctly. Overall I am very happy with the luxury vinyl floor and for Ryan coming over to my house to see what I was referring to in my email to him and filling the nail holes. My floor is wonderful but the sample wasn't the best. Look at the pictures of the flooring on the back of the sample, it was this picture that sold me! I would definitely do business with them again due to their professional courtesy.

Overall I am happy with the luxury vinyl flooring, but the subcontractor didn't take pride in his work and notice his mistakes. Because I had issues with this subcontractor I didn't point it out. I would do business with house of floors again for their quality of flooring but not their subcontractor.
