They were very quick to get my estimate and get the carpet installed. The price was also great. However i feel a little annoyed with the install. They didn’t clean up when they were done. I tried to vacuum and there was so much small scrap that it broke my vacuum and yes i did pick up all the pieces i could see. There were carpet nails all over the floor. I understand that you have to pay to move furniture, but i moved everything i possibly could. There was no space left to move furniture. I had a ming size bed and dresser in one room and the frame of a crib in another room. I got charged 48 per room. I would understand if they charged one room, but for 2 I’m annoyed. We also asked if they could fix the squeaky floor underneath before laying new carpet and they said yes. I said i could have my father do it, but they said they would and then didn’t, now the new carpet is Dow and we can’t fix it. The install itself is what I’m not happy about.

Such great service and communication with Halifax and all of the people who work there. Annette was the best to work with and we really appreciated all of her efforts to go above and beyond to help us get our job done as well as a few of the other projects that came afterwards.

I've dealt with Halifax twice now and both times the experience has been horrific. We first purchased carpet from them 2 years ago when we moved into our home. It started out pretty normal, but everything was extremely slow. Then when it was time to install the carpet, the installer delayed almost a week, after confirming a time and then no-showing, then confirming then no-showing. We had to delay moving into our new home several days due to the issue. We then needed carpet in the basement and the only reason I continued with the same company is because they had the matching carpet. We emailed them and didn't get a response for 2 weeks. I finally called and got some preliminary numbers and we payed a downpayment. It then took 2 weeks, and we hadn't heard anything from them. I called again, and they said, oh the carpet came in a few days ago, no one called you... Of course they didn't call me. I then asked to be scheduled and gave them 5 or 6 days of options for the installation. A few days went by and I hadn't heard anything. I called and they said, oh you are scheduled for Tuesday, did you not get an email. Of course I didn't. Then Tuesday came and the installer was supposed to be here between 8-10 AM. I get a text from him at 1 PM saying, I'm finishing a job and will be there in 2 hours. 4:45 rolls around and I get a text saying, he was at the wrong address, which was a mistake they had already made once, and I had called twice to confirm they had the right address. All in all, even in construction, the communication and logistics has been terrible and I will not be doing business with Halifax any time soon.

I am so very happy with my transaction with Halifax, from the service, to the pricing, and the quality install! My 1956 home is not looking so 1956 anymore! I highly recommend them!
