We had been shopping for carpet for a while and just happened to be driving by Flooring RVA, when we noticed it and decided to stop in. We were immediately welcomed by Gary who helped us with all of our questions and helped us find a super great carpet for a great price! Once our carpet was in Johnathan got us on the schedule ASAP which was awesome! The installers were friendly, and quick and did a beautiful job. I am so happy with our carpet and so glad we chose Flooring RVA! It was absolutely worth it! THANK YOU!

This is the second job in our home that we had Flooring RVA do the work. Excellent service, beautiful work. We love our bathroom remodel and will be doing two more in the future. The service was on point, staff and contractors were top notch. Before and after pictures of our beautiful master bath.

Flooring RVA replaced the old carpeting upstairs with vinyl planking. My scheduling requirements were a bit tricky with months between phases, but they have a fantastic internal communication and tracking system to keep on top of everything over that long stretch. The most challenging part of the job was refinishing the stairs; the stain had to come close to matching the vinyl upstairs and the slightly different hardwood downstairs to make a smooth visual transition. The first attempt didn't go well, but that was as much my fault as anyone's when we didn't color test thoroughly enough before comitting. Flooring RVA stands by their work, though, and came back to re-finish the stairs at their own expense. The finished product is fantastic and it would be tough to think of a better example of professional integrity.

Latest Edit: Flooring RVA flooring came back and did everything to fix a majority of the issues (minus the discoloration of the stairs). Updating my review to reflect that they went out of their way to get the rest of the major issues fixed up - increase in stars! Previous: Writing this review as I’m now unfortunately overly frustrated with the lack of action, communication, and quality of install with my floors. Paid well over twenty-something thousand to get my floors ripped out and replaced in the entire house. Initially, process was smooth. Though slower communication in the beginning, they got materials delivered and were able to get started relatively quickly. I expressed concern over a hump in my kitchen flooring and paid them to fix it, they assured me they could fix it - had someone come out, ripped up the previous flooring and reduced the hump, but did not fix it completely…fine - I expressed that as long as there would be no issues with the flooring install over it, I’ll leave it be. The install required ripping up all current flooring and carpeting and replacing it and the underlying lauan, level where necessary. Install days - took about 2-3. One person out of the entire crew spoke English, and he was gone a majority of the install. I had issues trying to address any concerns with the installers throughout the day as a result (even with google translate). These guys worked HARD (seriously, these guys flew). However, not once was any leveling compound used, and they installed quickly over areas that seemed like more attention was required. The hump in my kitchen flooring did in fact become an issue - one I’d expressed concern over multiple times before, during, and after the install. The curvature has popped the vinyl planks out of place. Doorways are now problematic, and feel like there’s space/ air under the boards laying across them. In certain doorways, the vinyl has completely broken apart and now pops up and down like a springboard, the ridges completely broken off - which is unfortunate as it’s in main areas. Some spots look as though pressure has done something odd to the end of planks (crumpled up), and other spots are not even properly locked into place. The wood stain on the steps simply did not take - instead of grey, it looks green/yellow in many spots. I went with Flooring RVA because they marketed a year install warranty and excellent customer service. I started the process of reporting issues in July/August - August 8th is one email I see doing a quick check. I’ve contacted the sales guy who said he’d pass the info along several times (very friendly and helpful, i feel like he’s doing what he can to push the issue to the attention of those who need to be looking at it, but to no avail). One guy came to look after the initial call. He stated that these are clear install issues, but it’s been radio silence ever since. Nothing has come of it, my family is growing, and I’ve run out of patience and time to continue to chase this problem down quietly. What was supposed to be a great experience and wonderful addition to my home in preparation for life’s next steps has become a source of daily disappointment and anxiety.
