“Update!!! Moji and Navid made it right! She sent a new team to replace all the baseboards and re-grout the tile. Frank and Poncho are FANTASTIC! Their work was immaculate, fast, and clean. We love our new floor now. While this job started off rough, Moji and Navid worked very hard to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Very mixed review. Moji and Navid are great. Navid helped us pick the tile, Moji coordinated the scheduling of the install. Very responsive. Moji explained the schedule to me. Day 1 was cutting and laying the tile, to allow the mortar to dry. Day 2 was grout with dry time, and Day 3 was baseboards. Things went downhill with the install. It was scheduled for 10:30am on Monday. The installer showed up around 12:30pm due to some car issues. Ok, no problem. Things happen. They (the installer and his wife, maybe) got 1/2 the tile laid. And were out of here by 4pm. Day 2: Installer showed up at 11am. Cut some tile, and then went to lunch at 12:30pm. Came back around 2pm, cut some more tile, and was gone for the day at 4pm. Nothing was actually installed on day 2 Day 3: Installer showed up at 9am. Asked me for the baseboards. Ummm, I don't have those. He said he'd get everything done that day. He finished cutting, laid the other half of the tile, and grouted...not sure when anything actually dried. He left at 1pm to pick up the baseboards. At 3pm, I called the store. Navid said the installer had picked up the baseboards and was on his way back. At 6pm, the installer called to tell me he backed into someone's car and couldn't come back until the day after Thanksgiving. So we cleaned his mess since we were having a house full of guests for Thanksgiving, and his job wouldn't be done. Yes, the mortar all over our front door and handle, the grout tracked in...Very messy. Day 4 (Friday after Thanksgiving): I got a text from the installer that he had a flat tire and his vehicle was parked at a tire shop, but they couldn't fix it until the following Monday. I was already not pleased with the work, as there were many holes in the grout and blank spaces between the tiles that should have had grout. We called the store, and left a message asking them to call us. No call back. I sent Moji a text with pictures of the installer's text and the holes in the grout, requesting she call me. Assuming she contacted the installer right away, because he called me, and she sent me a text that he would be here same day, apologizing for the inconvenience. But she never actually called me. I made it clear, via text, that he had the day to make it right, or they'd have to send someone else to finish the job. The installer sent a text at 11am that he was on his way. At 12:30pm, I got another text from him that he was "en route" with a picture of a map, showing him about 30 minutes away. He finally showed up around 1pm. Installed the baseboards, using rocks from our yard to hold the boards against the wall, later apologizing for not painting the baseboards. I pointed out the holes in the grout which I could see, which he filled. He couldn't get out of here fast enough, and my patience was pegged. Just go. Friday night after the store was closed, I wrote a check for the remaining balance, signed the document releasing them of any liability, leaving the rest of the form blank for recommending the installer, and called the job done. Today we cleaned and mopped the mess of his fixes, using a razor blade to get clumps of grout off the tile. There's still holes in the grout that I couldn't see last night. The baseboards have separated from the walls and the joints are so uneven, even my 12 year old commented on the gaps in the joints. So in conclusion, the sale was fantastic, Moji and Navid are great (although I do wish they would have called, as requested when things went south), the install was a nightmare and sloppy. I wish I had the same experience as the reviews, which is why I chose this store. Sadly, my experience was not the same.”
