“I used Flagship Floors in 2016 and was pleased with the installation of the LVP. So, I used them again. I gave 3 stars; the carpet installer (Rueben) actually gets 5 stars while the tile installer gets less than one. After 20-ish years, I finally replaced the builder-grade tiling and carpeting. The carpet installation went smoothly except for the shortage; either the salesman mismeasured or the order submitted to the supplier had an error. Reuben and his assistants spent less than an hour installing the rest of the carpet. They were very professional in their interactions with me. I really like the carpet. The tile installer was another story. The "clean up" of dust each day left a film of dust on my LVP floors. It seemed one person did most of the work while the other 2 watched (were they new??). One day was spent removing the old tile, and they hung plastic sheets so the dust would be confined. The second day I was told they would be done by the end of the day, and it was not because they ran out of mortar. They said they would come back the next day around 10 am; around noontime I called Flagship to see if the installer was coming and "Joe" did not know but would find out; he called me back and said they would be out the next day between 9 and 10; need I say what time they finally showed up? (They messed up my schedule.) The installer told me the mortar was the wrong color and he had to wait for the right color; I appreciate him realizing that before using it. They then finished the rest of the tiling and did a beautiful job on the floors; however, after they left, I noticed they did not pay attention to detail as mortar was left here and there, especially the couple of chunks on the fireplace. They did repaint the outside of the fireplaces which were black as cleaning the dust off made them look tacky. I took pictures, emailed them, and also went to Flagship. Joe seemed surprised that this happened as this was his best installer and used him for over 20 years. He said he would have them fix the problem areas and promised to accompany them to be sure the work was done correctly. The problem areas included the mortar here and there, not caulking where they were supposed to or sloppy caulking or the corners were not sharp. The bottom of the back door came off when the old tile was being pulled; the wood was rotten anyway but I did not expect to see such a big chunk out of it (I am in the process of ordering a new door; just didn't expect that expense this soon). The installers fixed everything, though I still am not 100% satisfied. By the way, Joe wasn't able to come after all the assurances he made to me because he had something more important to do. I will say the salesman and other office personnel were professional and apologetic for what happened; it wasn't their fault except the possible mismeasurement by the sales man. I will not recommend this company in the future.”
