Jason Crabtree founded Crabtree’s Carpet in 1993 to bring affordable, high-quality carpet and flooring products to his family, friends, and neighbors. The company soon expanded to include furniture and home décor. On November 18, 2014, an intense fire struck the store completely destroying the building. Teri Horton, Chief of the Valley Township Fire Department, said in 38 years of firefighting, it was the biggest fire she had ever been involved with. In 2019, ownership changed hands and is now operated by Todd Crabtree.
