“Our project was quite challenging and the team from Central Valley Floor Design did and an outstanding job! The project was to replace about 600 sq. ft. of carpet in our family & living rooms with Brazilian Cherry engineered-hardwood flooring to match, as closely as possible, similar existing flooring in my office. We wanted the new flooring to be tight fit and flush with the travertine tile flooring in-between and in hallways. We didn’t want any transition strip or grout to preserve the beauty of the curved sections of the flooring. To make matters more difficult, the travertine flooring was high (~3/4in.) and uneven in height in some places. Ben, our salesperson, was prompt, figured out the issues quickly, and came up with a solution that we felt comfortable with and ended up using with great results. He was clearly the most knowledgeable of the three salespeople we had for estimates. He matched the size and color of the flooring to near perfection. He scheduled us in time for the holidays, ordered the material promptly and made sure that installation started as scheduled! Micheal and his associate installed the hardwood flooring. They were prompt, polite, easy to work with, and did an outstanding job with the curved sections of the flooring (see photos). The two stone fireplace pedestals were cut under and baseboards removed and re-installed as if they were never touched. There was very little dust, everything was cleaned up and furniture put back.
