“Very small store. Salesperson was nice enough, but obviously wasn't listening to me because I asked for a specific kind of tile in a certain color (shades of brown or tan), and I specifically said I didn't want anything in three other colors ( white, gray, or beige) ,and the first thing I was shown was white, gray, or beige. So I had to repeat myself which got a chuckle from a co-worker who was following us around and heard our conversation. Then the salesperson started randomly looking through displays in the store suggesting that it might be here or there...Did I mention that it was a small store? If they had what I was looking for it would have only been in one suggestion and the salesperson should have known their inventory and been honest and said that they had nothing further to show me. Instead I felt like I was being stalled to possibly make a sale and try to be convinced to buy something else that I didn't want when I obviously came in wanting a very specific type of tile in a very specific color. I politely, but promptly excused myself and left so I could go elsewhere to check out other store's inventory before closing for the day. Hate when salespeople waste your time. It would have been okay to make suggestions if I hadn't been crystal clear about what I wanted or even suggest that they could order something for me that wasn't in stock rather than to just try to keep me there and waste both our time to try to make a sale.”
