We interviewed multiple local companies that do flooring, and Jim not only beat their prices, he installed a great product. His crew was always on time and did a great job. “I hope you take the time to read this, because Jim and Alpha Carpet/Flooring deserves the recognition. I cannot say enough great things about this company and that's primarily due to the owner, Jim. I purchased an older home requiring some updates to both carpeting and hardwood flooring - can I first say how much harder it is to find a contractor who will take care of both than I thought it would be? Ultimately, my husband and I spoke with 6 different contractors. Why did Jim stand out above the rest? Most everyone I spoke to took the attitude of "whatever you want, we will do" but I am not an expert and we really needed someone who would be patient to help talk through options. Everyone else made me feel so rushed and some even came off a bit annoyed when I did not know exactly what I was in the market for... Where all other contractors I spoke to limited our first phone call to 5 - 10 minutes, my first call with Jim was phenomenal and lasted about half an hour! He first asked what we were hoping for and ideas we had in mind, then he asked more probing questions to better understand our lifestyle to ensure that we were thinking about the right materials that would fit our needs and be sustainable. Throughout the process, I felt I was well taken care of...he never once came across taking advantage of our lack of knowledge of the process and was honest about all the good and the "bad". His overall communication is amazing. We were not living in our new home during the job and Jim gave me updates every day and sent me photos and videos. And I KNOW he had other clients...but I always felt like he only had time for us because his responsiveness was tremendous. Since we did carpet and unfinished flooring, Jim estimated the job would take 14 days before the hardwood floors would be safe for furniture... And that is the exact schedule they followed! I am so happy with the crew's work, but Jim's level of service really is what makes everything shine. And finally....we of course LOVE the new carpet and hardwood floors.”
